Importance of Breakfast

A recent research study says that eating breakfast has an advantageous effect on late morning mood, satiety and cognitive performance. Eating immediately afyer waking up fuels you up instantly and prepares you for the day ahead. If you dont eat breakfast, the starvation mode makes you want to eat more and store more, resulting in weight gain. Your daily breakfat should include protiens, fibre and complex carbohydrates. Items such as a bowl of poha, upma or dalia are perfect mix of carbohydrates and proteins. Moong dal or besan, fat free milk, cheese, yoghurt, raw fresh fruits, whole grain breads, crackers and cereals, are some of the good breakfast items.

Some of the results of skipping breakfast: it can lead to slow start of the day, low mental performance, fatigue, weight gain, lack of energy and stamina, weakens your immune syetem.
